It was raining a bit when we woke up. We can’t complain since so far we have had awesome weather. We took Jazz (Janet and Ian’s dog) for a walk around their neighbourhood. Nice!!

We walked through Fleetwood Park, where they have some beautiful flower gardens. Currently they have the Wisteria vines which are gorgeous and smell so good! There were lots of photographers there taking photos, so we joined in and got some photos too.

We then continued through some nice subdivisions and walked through Walnut park, a nice path winding through the woods. Janet and Ian have 3 parks right near them. So nice to have so much green space so close to them.

The rain stopped while we were out. Yay!!
Janet and the 4 of us (Debbie, Hank, Bart and I) went to Whiterock. A must stop when you are visiting. It has the longest pier in Canada! It has one of the best beaches in BC. It is a seaside community, with kilometers of shops and restaurants/patios along the water. We walked 1,540 feet to the end of the pier. We enjoyed watching a seal enjoying a swim in the ocean, people swimming and people in their winter hats (like Debbie and Janet – lol), the tide coming in, so may starfish in the ocean, and so many crabbing. They all seemed to be using chicken necks to catch crabs. I wish that I had some gear to catch crab. Next time!!

We stopped at Ocean Beach restuarant. They didn’t have room on the patio for 5 of us, but we got a nice seat inside by the window. We shared some appies and enjoyed some local wine! Cheers!!

We then went to Chaberton Winery in the Fraser Vally for wine tastings. They are one of the first and largest wineries in B.C. They had nice outdoor seating on picnic tables. We enjoyed the tastings!! and bought one of our favorites – their Chaberton Vintage One (CVO).

We then went to Backyard Winery. We enjoyed tastings inside. They had a really yummy Reserve Meritage from 2020 with only a few cases left. Hank purchased one for each of us Mom’s!! Thank you Hank!! I will enjoy mine when we are in Whistler!

We went back to Janet and Ian’s. We ordered pizza and wings for dinner. We enjoyed Janet’s patio with table top fire, although it was a bit more chilly than last evening. We have only been on vacation for a few days, but because we have done so much already, it seems like we have been here a week. We are looking forward to Whistler Villiage tomorrow!!
