Port Colborne, Ontario to Skerston Shores!

What a great time in Port Colborne. It was sad to leave our gorgeous accommodations….but we know we are going to another great place, so off we go. We were on the road by 10:30ish. When we originally planned this trip, we were going to stay in Fort Erie which would be about 30 km, but then a very generous offer came from my friend Sil to stay at her place in Sherkston Shores. Since we are having gorgeous weather, we are thrilled to be going to the beach!

We only had 10 km to go so it was a quick ride! The trail from Port Colborne to Fort Erie is the Friendship Trail, which used to be an old railroad.

Sherkston is a private park between Port Colborne and Fort Erie. “Break away to Sun Retreats Sherkston Shores, formerly known as Sherkston Shores Beach Resort, southern Ontario’s vacation destination on the beautiful sandy shores of Lake Erie. This sprawling resort offers 560 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with 4 km (2.5 miles) of sandy beachfront for family activities”

The weather is gorgeous and just perfect to be at Sherkston! Cheers!!

Sil came to pick us up in her Cadillac golf cart, that fit all 7 of us!! The beach was calm and surprisingly the water was quite warm!

5 of us got into the water for a swim!!

Happy Birthday Irene!! We planned dinner at Capri’s in Pleasant Beach. The food was fabulous! We had a big group of 18 of us and they had us set up on the patio under tents they put out.

The 8 of us went back to Sherkston and played euchre and 10,000 dice game. We taught Irene dice the first night of our trip, and she wasn’t too fond of it – lol – but I think she is starting to love it now! Fun times!!

Fun times!!

Irene had a lot of fun on her birthday! and we all enjoyed it with her. Cheers to a great day!!
