Breisach & the Black Forest – April 17th

This morning we were back on the bus for 8:30 am and off to the Black Forest of Germany. They took the scenic drive there through some quaint villages and through the rolling hills and countryside of the black forest. Steve and Andrea did a hike into the Black Forest. While the rest of us went to a cuckoo clock demonstration. It was very interesting to hear how so many in the region take part in making certain parts of the clocks. Also in the Black Forest it is interesting that each property has its own small chapel on site since it was too far for them to travel to church and also dangerous road conditions in the winter.

So many gorgeous cuckoo clocks! That big one was 12,500 euros!
You can get the custom made with what you want!
