We have finalized our cycle trip route around the Isjelmeer in the Netherlands. Not to say that this will not change as the planning is ongoing but this gives you an idea of our route. Actually, from my research this probably gives you an idea of a common route around Isjelmeer.

Our Itinerary

Day 1 – Amsterdam

Day 2 – Amsterdam

Day 3 – Amsterdam to Hoorn

Day 4 – Hoorn – Medernblik

Day 5 – Medernblik to Makkum

Day 6 – Makkum to Oudemirdum/Rijs

Day 7 – Rijs/Oudemirdum to Zwartsluis

Day 8 – Zwartsluis to Hardewijk

Day 9 – Harderwijk to Huizen

Day 10 – Huizen to Amseterdam

    I hope the wind will be behind your back crossing the dam! Otherwise take a towing rope,the electrics can pull the conventional bikes.
